AutoDrumatic (Video Demo and Free Download)

As mentioned before, as part of this software engineering sabbatical I'm currently on, I work on projects that put learned software engineering practices to use in practical applications. One of the recent projects I've been working on is something I call "AutoDrumatic".

I have plans for AutoDrumatic to grow into something more as time progresses, but at the moment, it's essentially a very simple software based drum machine. Please take a look at the video below for a demo.

As mentioned in the video, the plan is to use very short release cycles with AutoDrumatic. I plan on doing a release at the end of every sprint. Each sprint will be anywhere from one to four weeks in length and will implement the highest priority/necessary functionality. Thanks to my automated build server (mentioned before, here), releases can be done quickly and easily.

This first release of AutoDrumatic is admittedly very limited, but the idea is to lay the short release cycle groundwork early on. Getting the product in front of users sooner, rather than later, allows for getting quick user feedback and staying on the fastest path possible to creating a software product that is best aligned with user's needs.

If you'd like to give AutoDrumatic a try yourself, please do download and install it: Stay tuned. More features for AutoDrumatic will be coming soon!
